So now we have some suggestions on how you can elevate your overall summer look by adding some simple accessories to your hair. The beauty of summer hairstyles is they don't have to be too complicated. These simple accessories can take your hair from okay to AMAZING. Most of these things you should have around your house and if not they are very budget-friendly. Find your summer style with us now.
Head Scarf
Adding a headscarf to your look can be a bold statement and add a pop of colour, it can also save you from a bad hair day. These especially look good on holidays or at festivals because it gives a whole other vibe to your day-to-day look. They are a massive hair accessory trend.
If you have a silk/satin scarf lying around your house you can transform this into your hair accessory. Simply fold it in half from opposite corners from a square to a triangle. Now that you have a triangle-shaped scarf take the folded edge and place it onto your forehead so that the point section is facing the back. Then take the two ends and bring them round to the back of your head and tie the ends together. You now have the classic headscarf summer look that is perfect for hot summer days, and the coolest look for a beach party.

Headband
You can wear hair scarves in a variety of styles. The next way you can wear a headscarf is similar to the first one except this is more of a headband look.

Fold the scarf again so that you have a triangle. Take your two front sections of hair out to frame your face. Take the folded edge and place it just behind the two front sections you have separated from the rest of the hair. Take the two sides of the scarf down the sides of your head, behind your ears. The two sides of the scarf should end up at the nape of your neck. Once here you can tie both sides of the scarf and now you have achieved the headband scarf look.
Metalic Clip
Using metallic clips can be the perfect hair accessory if you want to be a bit more subtle but still have an extra touch of glamour to your hair. For this hairstyle you want to have your hair down you can have straight hair or curly hair for this look. You will also need two clips.

You will need a middle part for this look. Take the two front sections of your hair on either side of your parting and separate them from the rest of your hair. Take one side of your hair and begin to twist this section of hair away from your face. Once the entire section of hair is twisted place the end of the hair in the middle of the back of your head. Secure the twist with your metallic clip. Do the same thing on the other side of your head. You now have a gorgeous half up half-down everyday hairstyle with an added bit of sparkle.
If metallic clips aren't your personal style you can use whatever style of clips you want!
The Simple Headband
For a feminine feel and a touch of sophistication, you can opt for a headband. This is a really simple hairstyle however they can be casual or a statement piece.
For summer, the pearl headbands add such a girly touch to your hair. Or you can opt for a padded headband which will elevate your look to a vintage 60s glam. Headbands are an extremely versatile accessory because they come in so many different styles that give different looks.
