It doesn't matter if you have permanent hair extensions or clip-in hair extensions you can achieve these styles with either type. You may think it sounds like a lot of work to style hair extensions but we have some styles for you that will be nice and easy and still look amazing. You can create amazing hairstyles with hair extensions and they can be used for thickening hair, adding length or just for creating fun styles.
Big Bouncy Curls!
First up are gorgeous big curls. The ideal hairstyle if you want to be a show-stopper. If you have naturally thinner or shorter hair you can live out your glamorous dreams with some extensions to create the ultimate big curls. To make this style stay in for longer you could use some styling products to make sure it stays in from day to night. Use any hair wand or curler to create this look, preferably one with heat settings. When using heat on your extensions try and use the lowest heat setting so you aren't damaging the hair. You can use hair moose on the ends of your extensions so they hold the style of the curl for longer.
Stranded 5 piece Human Hair Set
When curling the hair take sections that incorporate your natural hair as well as the hair extensions. If you have thicker hair take smaller sections so the curls will hold for longer. This means all the hair will be flowing with each other and won't look obvious as to what is your real hair and what are the extensions. When curling your hair curl the curls away from your face. This will give the appearance of voluminous curls as opposed to heavy curls. To add full glam to the look focus on your face framing hair pieces. Give yourself some bouncy face-framing curls, this can transform your look from cute curls to Hollywood glam without having to be a professional hairdresser.
TOP TIP: When curling your hair curl away from the face. ALSO for curls to last longer you can use a bobby pin to secure them while the curls cool down.
Mermaid waves
Mermaid waves are the IN look for summertime this year. It's giving loose a relaxed while looking like a gorgeous island girl in the sun. To create mermaid wave you can either do it with heat or no heat. You can't do these methods with synthetic extensions if you want mermaid waves in synthetic you have to purchase them pre-styled.

Heat option: You will need a styling tool that will create the mermaid waves. A tool that we have as a personal favourite and is an affordable price is the Mark Hill mermaid waver! To use this tool take a section of your hair, and include the extensions in this section. Then clamp the waver down onto the hair and leave it on for about 10 seconds. Then follow this action all the way down the hair until complete!
Non-heat option: This is one of the most protective hairstyles with hair extensions you can create because they won't suffer any heat damage. For the non heat option all you will need is some bobbles and damp hair. Have the extensions installed when creating this look so that they blend in with your natural hair too. Damp your hair and the extensions down before styling. Split all of your hair into two sections of hair if you want larger waves or four sections of hair if you want tight waves. Once you have split the hair into sections braid from the root of your hair and all the way down to the tip. Don't worry if you have strands of hair poking out of the braids it won't affect the overall look of the waves. Leave your braids to dry and once fully dry you can release the braids. Now you will have heatless beach waves!
Braid away
Using braids you can create a really cute hairstyle with hair extensions. This can be done with both real hair extensions and synthetic hair extensions. However, with human hair extensions, the end result will look more natural and feel lighter on your head. You can also create this look if you have short hair, shoulder-length hair or longer hair. This is going to be a half-up hair look with braids incorporated.
When your extensions are clipped in take two pieces of hair, one from each side of your head. This is going to be your natural hair. Braid each of the hair strands and secure it with a small elastic hair tie. Take the braids around the back of your head and cross over at the back. Secure the braids with a bobby pin. If you want you can curl the rest of your hair with extensions for a very pretty look.
Simple: A super simple yet super fun look. Put in your hair extensions if you have clip-in hair extensions. Spilt your hair into two sections on either side. Start braiding your hair with extensions included this will make the braids appear seamless. You can braid loosely to achieve a loose braid or you can dutch braid or french braid to add a little more detail. All braids look amazing with a bit of added length and volume.
