How to fit WEFT Extensions
Customise your volume your way. Learn how to secure your hair wefts in three simple steps—whether you prefer a semi-permanent weave track or an effortless, clip-and-go finish.
Sew-In Method
- Create the Track: Section your hair horizontally and build a flat, secure base track along the parting using a neat cornrow or a row of micro-beads.
- Align the Weft: Place the weft flush against your base track, pinning both ends in place so the hair lies completely flat against the scalp.
- Stitch and Secure: Using a curved needle and weaving thread, stitch firmly through the weft and the base track using a loop stitch, tying a tight double knot at each end.
Clip-On Method
- Attach the Clips: Measure the weft to fit your head, cut to size, and firmly sew clips along the seam about two inches apart with the teeth facing downward.
- Section and Tease: Part your natural hair horizontally, clip the top away, and lightly backcomb the roots along the line to give the clips a secure anchor.
- Slide and Snap: Slide the clip teeth down into your teased roots and press down on both sides until every clip clicks securely shut.
Care instructions
To keep your Human Hair Extensions looking their best,
follow these simple care instructions.
- Remove your Human Hair Extensions and gently brush through. Fill a sink with lukewarm water and submerge the Human Hair Extensions into the sink, keeping hold of the top section.
- Apply a mild shampoo to the Human Hair Extensions and gently work this in, ensuring all of the hair is clean. Rinse under the tap to remove the shampoo, then use a deep conditioner to hydrate the hair.
- Softly massage the conditioner in and leave for 2-3 minutes. Comb through the Human Hair Extensions and rinse off the conditioner. Gently towel dry to remove excess water and leave to dry naturally.
- Do: Always apply a few drops of lightweight hair oil or a leave-in conditioner to the mid-lengths and ends to lock in moisture and maintain a soft, glossy shine.
- Don't: Never sleep with the hair damp or wet, as the friction against your bedding causes severe matting and breakage.
- Don't: Never wash your extensions with sulfate-heavy shampoos, as this strips away essential moisture and leaves the hair brittle.
